My PSD has been sitting for about two weeks now. I went out to start it this evening and it won't fire up. It turns over nice and fast but there no combustion. The tach moves, and I'm not getting any smoke that I can see when I'm sitting in the cab turning it over.
My external injector o-rings are needed replaced and I'm planning on taking them out tomorrow morning. Could that have any affect to the "no start"
Maybe the o rings is the cause of it not starting, but it was running, rught? Maybe the injector bled down and you need to crank on it a long time to get her going.
Check all the normal suspects, HPOP level, #22 fuse under the hood, UVC connectors fuel pressure. The CPS could still be bad even though the tach is moving, if you got one try it.
My truck has been hard to start after sitting also. I can't drive right now so it just sits there. It will start but it takes quite a bit of cranking. Yesterday before my dad was going to start it and move it I checked the HPOP and it was full after sitting for three weeks. It did start eventually and run good. Would the UVC harness be the problem with it running good after starting?
Come to think of it, last winter when I changed the fuel pump and cleaned the engine off it looked like the fuel line disconnects at the bottom front of the motor may have been leaking.
level is good, fuse is good, sounds like fuel might be dropping off, or could still be oil, at this point a scanner such as fordforever's is needed so you can read your pid data, while cranking, that way you can see if the icp is slow to build
Fuel pressure should build fairly fast while cranking right? Oil pressure should come up unless one of my o-rings completly took a drive and it's not allowing any pressure to build up
No smoke when its cranking. However, I haven't cranked on it that as the batteries didn't last too long. I got the charger on it now.
I haven't checked the codes as I don't have a code reader.
I was actually planning on taking my injectors out today to put my stage II's in but I don't want to start that unless I know it will run before I start that project.
Also, pulled the UVC off and the pigtails have oil on them. I thought that was kind of strange?
