Question Fan Or Ac Question

Have a question on recent issue on a 95 with a 7.3. Temp here is 110 degrees and when I run AC unit it sounds like fan cluch is locked up and get terrible noice from under hood. If I run it up to 2500 RPM for a 1/2 min or so what evers making the noise will just go away like a clutch slowly disengages what ever it is. Now if it's quite and I stop at a light it will stay quite but once I take off it makes the noise again like fan is engaged until I give her S$#T at over 2500 again. Noise sounds like fan blowing really hard to me, but this only happens when AC is on. Temp gauge is at center or below. I had a 92 as a comany truck some years ago and it did the same thing and didn't have AC, I never knew what caused it and the truck was sold.

Any sugestions? I posted here because of the powerstroke, Maybe a heat issue?

perfectly normal. that is your fan clutch engaging. the ac condensor gets hot enough to burn you if you touch it, the fan is cooling it down, to maximize your ac performance, if it didnt engage your pressure would skyrocket in the ac system and it would blow very hot air

Like joe said normal I will add that when go down hwy you forcing air threw condenser and radiator so the fan clutch disengages at hwy speeds.

I wish mine would make some noise. I just recently replaced the compressor because the seal blew on it. Once I got it on and was charging it I discovered the condensor was not working efficiently enough to keep the pressure down and the fan clutch doesn't pull hard ever no matter how hot it gets. So I had to replace the condensor thanks to so many dents and bent fins that it wasn't repairable. The clutch is next. I got it cooling good but on a hot day sitting in traffic the pressure comes way too close to the relief valve setting. The new clutch will fix that problem.
