Can anyone tell me how to remove the ABS sensor on the front? I have removed everything and have to remove the drive axle but the ABS sensor is giving me headaches. I have removed the screw that holds the sensor to the axle hub.
Seems I cant' remove the sensor.
Part II How do you remove the ABS sensor cover mounted on the front of the axle hub? I see the small screw coming in from behind the axle hub that screws into the cover but I can't seem to find the corrrect socket to remove it. I have tried 1/4", 5mm, 6mm, etc but the head of the screw doesn't seem to be a hex head type.
I am getting ready to drill out the screw but hate to do that.
FOr everyones inof, the cover is virtually impossible to unscrew. To remove it, I had to use my trusty Dremel tool and cut through the bottom left of the cover until I cut through the screw. You can see a smal screw hole from the front of the cover so that way you can see where the screw is coming in from the back of the sterring control arm. Go to a junk yard and see if you can get a new cuz I broke 8 drill bits tying to drill the screw out. Finally settled for JB Weld to put the cover bak on.
