some one want to point me out what the reason is to twin sticking a divorced NP205. what are the benefits? why should you do this? just wondering thanks
so do you just run a stick to each shift tube( wrong termonalage) so you can shift each on seperate. cuz right now the shifter is attached to a rod that is connected to both shift tubes by a flat piece of metal. so do you remove the flat connector and run a rod from each shifter to each shift tube? got it????
ok the f250 of my dads the np205 has 4low then Nuetral then 2 High then 4 High. the Transfer case in my truck has only 4 wheel drive and 2 wheel drive. do you have to have a transfer case like the 205 (with all the geras) to install a twin stick? Is my transfer case just a power splitter preety much
Ahhhh, you have a D21 single speede case. That only has 4wd, and 2wd, and does not have a low range. pretty sure there is nothing really available for the 21. Gonna be a good idea to install some sort of two speed case in there, before you consider any sort of twin stick modification.
Anyway, a second stick would really have nothing to control since there is no low range. Maybe just front output, but I have never had one apart. Since they are not very desireable, I would imagine many others have never tried this modification on these units either.
well ya i thought so only thing its good for is just knowing you can slam it into 4 whenever instead of the gears. so will the 205 take the same marriage yoke as the 21. the piece from the np435 to the tcase.

See if this helps a little. Might get you pointed in the right direction.
Most of the NP, and BW t-cases used the common 6 bolt pattern, but the D21 had a funky 4 bolt pattern similar to the 2wd models, so i do believe there are some differences, but I am not 100%. I do know that there were 205's behind 435's so it is a possible modification, I am just not sure how much is involved. I am assuming that this is a married unit and not remote. Remote (divorced) makes it easy. No ad adapters just a slight change to the driveshaft(s).
