engine noise 4.2 V6

Engine sounds rough when starting,Is this the norm? Truck is a 2000 model with 15,000 miles on it. Runs good otherwise. SWM

have the pushrods checked i had mine replaced because ford had bad pushrods in thier 4.2s its a 50 dollar fix plus your 5 dollar a piece valve cover gaskets
