front axle identify/help

I have had my truck for around 3 months.late 99 f250. I have already changed the oil in the rear when i put on the finned cover. Now it is time for the front. How do i identify what axle i have? i have been trying to search but i am confused do i have a dana 50 or a 60? Also what type of fluid and how much? I have been getting the itch to do some sled pulling

So i am thinking about some type of locker or a spool for the front. What kind would you recomend if i did purchase one? This will be after the purchase of a trans temp gauge to complete my gauge set.

you have a dana 50 if its a SRW and a 60 if its a DRW

ARB lockers are pretty much top notch, they are also pricey. With that, when its off, its acts like a normal open differential. When locked, its locked, and thats it. Steering anywere but straight require brute strength, or slippery conditions. Its a really good idea for truck pulls IMO because you dont spin one tire, then the other, and in doing that you greatly increase your chance of breaking axle shafts, u joints, or spider gears. Its really hard on driveline components going from one side spinning to the other
