Does anyone know if the 4.2L manual tranny is the same or comparable to the 4.0L Ranger tranny. Ultimately I want a shorter throw shifter, but like most everything else, no one makes a shifter for the 4.2 Ford. B&M and Hurst both make a shifter for the 4.0 Ranger. Anyone have experience with this??

Both transmissions are made by Mazda. The F150 trans is obviously larger and stronger. I don't know of anyone who makes a shifter.
