i used to cry about fuel mileage...

i was getting around 11mpg, have been since i've owned my truck. had many different "modules" and nothing really helped.

i've been running this SCT from spartan, and it's on a very mild basic tune, truck runs phenomenal !!

anyway i took it out yesterday and put some hard miles on it, went offroading and did a lot of 4x4'ing. over 100 miles on the dirt roads, up and over two different mtn ranges, and back home. the trip was 275 miles, and using my calculator i averaged 14.6 MPG..

imagine if it was all city or hiway miles, it would have been even more.
that is the most i've seen since i've owned it, and i drove it like i stole it yesterday !! and it still made gobs of power !

i couldnt be happier

I took my first trip this weekend with the SCT and agg street from Spartan. The truck only had camping gear and 5 guys in it. total trip was 518 miles. Going 80-85 on the interstate the whole way, I averaged 16.1 mpg with stock tires and a straight pipe. It's awsome. I am going to try out the ultra economy highway tune this week and see how much better it gets.

i'm not really sure, it was just a base tune that efoster wrote for me while we were trying to work the bugs out of my sct. it was basically a test tune, i'd have to ask him what he calls it.

I am not sure exactly what I would call that file. I sent him one that didnt work due to some issues with his SCT. So I just wrote him the one he has from scratch to see what the problem was, so I guess I would call it the "Titan Special" lol but realisticly its somewhere between an aggressive street and standard street.

well the titan special is an awesome tune.. with the exception of wanting a little more passing power in the higher rpm's (it's no slouch , just could be hotter top end) i think this is the tune i would use 95% of my in town driving. this is by far the most usable tune i've ever had in my truck.
evan i can't thank you enough man.... what's the word on the 6.4 ? you going 450 on me ?

I would agree Titan - that mpg gain is nice and the performance sounds great as well.

I'm totally stock, ordered it from the factory, 45,000+ miles & I get 10.5 to 13.5 towing our 37 foot 1/5th whl & not towing on the last long trip 2700 miles, avg for the trip 18.1 mpg, calc'd.
