I just bought the banks intercooler pipes and silicone couplings, I bought or made everything else I needed and saved a bunch, and saved time by not making my own pipes, plus they look way better...

I would make my own pipes but I want maximum airflow with minimal turbulence and restriction. I have even thought about doin a 3.5" IC pipe and IC setup.

well, if you make your own, I have 4pcs of 3" tubing prebent to 90deg

I just didn't feel like messing with welding, and fit, and cutting more, and looked cooler with them painted and the intake is what got me...

go to napa and buy you a 6637 air filter and a band clamp. Should be around $60 out the door.

isn't there some piece of pipe that you need too? that runs from that rubber intake tube to the filter itself

you can use roughly 6" of 4" exhaust tubing to connect the two but I have heard of others just sliding the tube over the filter inlet and clamping it together.

I slid my tube over the filter on my EX. It was a tight fit but it went. I found it easier to remove the boot that way you can finesse it from the inside also. Then used factory clamp. I had to cut the rubber nipples off of the boot though.

BTW tell NAPA you are an AAA member and they can give you a discount on this item I think around $48.00.
