I'll try to shoot some pics today and get them posted. I've had the truck for over 10 years now and it seems to be one of the languishing projects that gets pushed aside by other stuff. It was my first real project truck and one of these years it may even get close to finished.
Garden Spyder(Curtis) came out with his 52 Binder today and we did a little cruising with the old trucks. I had to replace a fuel filter before we left because it was pretty well plugged up with crud and rust. That was why it was running so badly yesterday.
Well poo, no truck projects for me. Shoot, no trucks period! Hopefully I`ll get a tax refund and if do, I`ll be looking for dang near anything 4x4 to go wheelin in again!! Gawd I do miss it!!
Tried to post some pics last night of the two rigs, but I must need a little technical help here to add them to a post. I used the "manage attachments" but still couldn't seem to get it right. Got a darn cold, so I decided to sit a home today.
Replaced the tonneau on the Super Duty this afternoon, since the one on there had lost a rear rail and they are no longer available. I know, I'm home from work with a cold, but it was just too nice to be indoors all day. Also, this looks like about the last warm day for a while and covers don't stretch very well when it is cold out.
it sure took its sweet time warming up today, but once it did, it was pretty nice. I spent several hours compiling, and configuring software for an atm that a network lost the software for. It was outside and in the shade with the wind blowing right through my jacket. Afternoon, it got much nicer
I ordered two spare tire carrier hinges and two latches. When they get in I need to take some measurements and buy some metal and I can start building. Green will be first. Thinkin about a can carrier in addition to the spare tire on the rack. I'll try to get pic's. And I need to replace the deck and build a box on my little trailer.
My motorcycle will be paid off in a month or three, depending on how the cards fall. Then its the F150-L110 project. Just in time for the weather to start getting good.
Today should be a good day to get some stuff done on the vehicles. I need to rotate the tires on the wife's yota and I want to do a few things on the '54 f250. Should be a great day for it.
took the old IH to Home Depot yesterday to get some building supplies and fence repair parts. its nice to take it out and drive it, gets alot of looks. One lady pulled up beside it at the stop light, she was in her Mercedes, she looked like the type of lady that mudders under her breath, "get that thing to the off the road and in to the junk yard!" However she rolled down her window, yelled at me "Nice Truck, My husband used to have one like that" Kinda makes ya feel good when you bring memories back for other people.
I made the mistake of going just before the game The old truck doesn't have turn signals, so I drive with my window down and use hand signals. Most people have no idea what those mean. This works fine until I want to merge back into the right hand lane. So there I was waiting till 20-30 cars turned left before I could continue on my way. I made right, by bypassing the stadium the next time I drove through.
