That and if you don't hear a compressor kick on shortly after starting it up you don't have it. Every Expy with the Air suspension I have been in is quite noisy when you first start it up as you hear the compressor come on.
I got rid of mine and converted to springs when I started to have problems with it specifically for me it was the drivers front air shock/strut.

This is interesting, I've got an '01 with air suspension and I can't hear the compressor at all when I start up. I had a problem with my suspension this past weekend and I couldn't tell if it was the compressor because nothing sounded different. I'm going to have to pop the hood and have someone else start the truck so I can figure out what I'm listening for...

My compressor kicks in after I take it out of park, not when the truck has just been started. You should be able to see the compressor underneath your windshield washer resevior. ( sp? )

Ya, I can see it there - and at this point I know it's working since I just got it back from the shop. I just haven't noticed it working, I'm usually good at picking out the sounds, but I haven't heard this one?? I'll figure it out, I'm sure it's good to know...
Where can I get replacement airbags, airline and fittings? I have a problem with passenger rear on mine not sure what gave out but I hear a leak and check suspension light keeps coming on after a while and rear drops to the axles

One of the other threads said that Strutmaster and Suspension-Alternatives was the same place, but that Susp-Alt was A LOT cheaper. I'm sure you can compair them yourself, but I thought I'd mention it...
Check air line union under/near brake master cylinder
CHeck the air line connection that is under brake master cylinder. May have popped off/disconnected. Happened to me; reconnected and moving right along. I ordered the SPider Jr. to replace the air line union. Will connect when it arrives.
I just put springs on mine finally. There was a leak in the line and the compressor burned up.
I really like the load leveling suspension, but I felt like I needed to replace all the components with as many miles as my truck has, and the springs will do the trick for now!

Did the same thing on mine a few weeks ago and I was kicking myself for not doing it earlier.
200 bucks well spent. Installation took only a couple of hours and the ride is at least as good as before, if not even better.
The only regret I have is that I didn't change the rear shocks while I was under there. Oh well...
