Regardless of what you decide to go with, make sure you get an Oasis Report before you buy it. That will tell you what problems the truck has had, or hasn't had, since it was first sold. That in itself, will tell you whether or not the truck is worth buying. Or, at least, let you know what you may be getting yourself into.
I was looking at a real nice '05 King Ranch last summer. Ran an Oasis Report and found five pages of defects and repeated repairs, and the warrenty had been cancelled by Ford. Needless to say, I did not buy the truck and was grateful for the information.
