I would be leary of switching the CPS. Too much chance of a poor connection leaving you strainded. Pulling fuses would be a good way like Tubzz said.

one of Tony's chip with a no start position hidden out of sight (under dash).

pull the t-case in N or even low range (for 4x4 trucks)... anything to take time here and there.

get a big dog and leave him sittin in the drivers seat!

Just leave the windows open but don't give him water so he will foam. Scary huh? Just kiddin', disclaimer: never leave dogs in there...that is unless it is the wifes and it hates you. then again kiddin'

A nice alarm system works well too. Something with a starter interrupt. I have a viper 791xv with remote start in mine. It'll keep the amateurs away. Also, the remote start feature is great for warming it in the winter and cooling it in the summer.

yep no harm. A switch on another strategic fuse or relay would work great though! IDM relay, Starter relay,....

I leave my cc dually unlocked with the windows down, wallet and cell phone on the center console, and the keys in the ignition. Surprisingly, no one has ever tried to test the two rottweilers that I always take with me. Romus is about 145 lbs and Blossom is about 110 lbs. Both have completed companion and protection training.
It makes things really nice, Blossom likes to ride in the bed where she can roam around a bit (and guards the toolbox) where Romus likes to ride inside where he can nap on the rear seat (and bite anyone who gets close enough)

Trust me on this one guys, food and water is cheap when you know you can leave 200 bucks in cash sit on your dash and it will be there when you get back. On a side note, it sucks on hot days to have to roll the windows up so the dogs can sit in the air condition, takes all of the fun out of hoping to see some thief squirming from the loss of an arm..........LOL

make that two of us.

i like my method. leave the fuel filter/separator drain open. they will drive a little bit until the tank runs out and guess what they left you a trail of diesel to find your truck. just dont forget you left it open when you hop in or there goes some $ down the drain.

or since its about to be winter put your glow plugs on a toggle so they only work if you turn it on. truck wont start and will only crank they will get scared and haul a**!

I like the idea of a hidden remote toggle somewhere that disables the engine. I also use a steering wheel/clutch pedal lock similar to a club.

hey guys, i thought i would revisit this thread after a guy at work replaced all his injectors last week in his 7.3 only to have it stolen from work last night.

anyway i just went out to my truck, pulled the #9 fuse under the hood and it fires right up and runs fine. i also pulled the main comp. fuse under the dash same thing, runs fine. any other ideas? or am i missing something?
