oil leak
hey my 97 stroke is leaking oil from somewhere on the upper front driverside of my engine. slow leak, but looks like alot. any ideas? it is motor oil, and blowing all the way back on filter, and down front of block. it looks bad, and i cant figure it out. i dont think its one of those big rubber plugs, been ther before, and they go of a sudden. this leak is slow. any ideas? i also dont think its the valve cover gasket either. its all over the power steering pump, and steer shaft.

a Number of places it could be coming from: HPOP reservior, timing cover, oil cooler, oil galley plug, or valve cover. best thing to do is to buy a case of break cleaner and clean the entire engine off and then dry and see if you can find the track its running and follow it back. Also check you powersteering. I had a PS leak that had me think oil cooler till I cleaned it up and really looked at it.
