oil pressure gauge fluctuation

oil pressure gauge fluctuation
tonight, for the first time, while idling, i noticed my oil pressure needle (centered in the middle of L-H as always) "tick" or bounce about 1/16"
never "low" or "high" pressure noted and no "tick" or bounce while driving, only at idle.
something to worry about?
she has 97k on the clock and runs like a champ....

I wouldn't freak out about it. Your oil pressure can change due to RPMs or temperature? Just keep an eye on it, but honestly it shouldn't be a big deal.

generally, if i raise the idle, it increased smoothly....which it still does. but when i just sit there and idle, it "bounced"

The gauge is a mechanical idiot light. If there is more than 4 psi, it should reflect a mid-range reading.
You might have a sending switch that is starting to flake out, a relatively common occurrance.
