95 E150 Van Won't Start
When I did the pump in mine, it was in my shop. I had a lift and a pair of transmission jacks to support the tank. Very easy. Later, I did the filler tube in my driveway. I used a floor jack with a wide plank on it to support the tank. Then released the straps and lowered it for access.
To get the pump out I am sure it would be easier to have the van sitting on stands but I didn't have to just to change the tube.

Well I tackled this job yesterday and didn't have great results. Replaced the pump and it failed to run. I made sure even after I lowered the tank that I had power back at the connector. I was also very carefull that the polarity was correct on the pump when installing. I'm guessing that I got a bad pump from the parts store? This really sucks as this was not difficult (other than getting the fuel lines off) but time consuming.
Anyways, it looks like I'm going to drop the tank and replace the pump again. I will probably try and start it on the bench after I remove it. If it starts then I don't know what the problem might be.
Thanks
