I have a early 1950 F-1 and mine exits through the top of one of several covers around the steering column. As your facing the inside floorboards the cable comes from the left through a slightly raised, angled crease/hole to the right under the cover, over the tranny to the first frame attach point.Hope this helps and have a great day, chuck
Are you speaking of the tranny cover; there is a raised opening there. I thought the speedo cable went throught there. I was thinking of using this opening, as my speedo pick-up comes from the engine compartment
I found an older pic of my interior and its 49fordpickumup descriped. The cable angles down and exits the cab at the top left side of the steering column opening. I think the raised opening you are talking of in the tranny cover was originally used for the speedo cable. I don't see any reason why you couldn't move it over.
