Speedo went bang
I was changing radio in our 89 ford Aerostar when my wife started the van and the Digital speedo went out. The back light works and the rest of digital dash works fine. I have replaced all light in back and replaced every fuse in box and nothing. I also replaced the digital dash and the replacement didn't work either. The upper trip thing above rear view mirror doesn't work either. I have run out of ideas.

There is a common "switched power" input to the multifunction gauge and the trip minder. On my 90 and 91 it is a pink and black wire coming from the fuse block. It is fused by a 10a fuse (No 17).

well thanks after reading your post i checked the fuses with a pwoer tester. The power for the Speedometer is routed through the Dome light 15a fuse. I changed and every thing works now. Thanks for your help
