What would happen if you changed out the throttle body to a dual 62mm (lightning) and the injectors out to a larger size. Would this improve performance or would it be a waiste without modding the heads? Of course you would have to change the exhaust. Speaking of the heads and injectors, can someone give me the specs on these. I got this idea from http://home.earthlink.net/~atomhart/galaxie.htm

Thanks

I went to that site, thank you by the way, it was very interesting. I am going to follow along and see how that conversion comes out. Looks like it's going to be a real Corvette-killer like he hopes it will. I saw a V-10 Viper engine conversion that went into a 69 Dodge Charger a while ago that was equally impressive. We are sadly lacking in performance parts for the V-10. I read somewhere that 65% of all F-250/F-350's are PSD's. With the balance being 5.4/6.8 gas engines, of which I believe the majority are V-8's. So I'm guessing less than 10% of truck engines are V-10's. The 5.4 is very popular and is available in other vehicles but the V-10 is only an option in the E and F series, so not many hi-pro parts are going to be produced for us V-10'ers, sadly.

I think he mean's the fuel injectors in the heads. These V10's are fuel injected systems not throttle body types (dry).

I think you miss read the post HiTech. I stated "the throttle body AND injectors" I didn't state that it had throttle body injection.

Thanks

Whew - thanks guys. Wet intakes are a lot harder to play with and hard to optimize at multiple RPMs. Here's hoping I get the shop manual for my birthday so I can read up!

Back to the original question, larger injectors with no other mods would probably run you on the rich side. With a supercharger or some other mod needing a lot more fuel, along with a custon chip, it could be quite the mod.
