Laugh it up but I got my Peformance Accessory kit from Auto zone! just under $400 for my 99 f-150. As far as hold ups it is hard to say we are talking about 2 completely different trucks. But probably all the little stuff as far as wiring safety cables and so on was the most time consuming oh and aligining my bed (I am very picky though). Also read the instructions they are very detailed and the person who wrote them knows what they were doing!
PA has some pretty large kits. The ones I used for my BII's did not have bumper brackets available. Master kits even come with new bushings and maybe even sleeves.
Like I said a good inspection is the first step. What do your old body bushings and body and frame mounts look like? If you are going to replace them I have a puller tool I made that will help out a bunch.
Did you get over to PA's site and look at the installation and componate list for the PA kit?

I did and I'm pretty sure I need the PA-883 kit after looking through PA's site. Summit says that their gap guards are on back order and that's another question I have. PA's site gave me a couple of different product numbers for gap guards, but they all look the same to me?
I also checked out most of the body bushings and they look fine.
Now I just need some suggestions on wheels and tires. I want a 15x10 wheel with some 33's but would like some help picking out a wheel. I'd like something with black powdercoat as I'm not to keen on the red on chrome look. Proper backspacing is a must as I want this to look right the first time. I had some ideas but they were on Ranger-forums website and I can't access the site for the life of me.
Yeah, what I'm mainly concerned about it not having the tires stick to much farther out past the body. Like I said, I wish I could get on ranger forums site to show you an example but I think you get what I mean. Any suggestions on where to start for wheels? Could you post some pics of some lifted rangers with 15x8 wheels with 33's? I've seen what the 15x10's look like and love it. I'm eyein some Eagle Alloys 185 series. http://www.aewheel.com/eagle_alloy_wheels.cfm?id=104

No Ranger pic's. 10" wide wheels will stick out more than the 8" wheels do. I'm pretty low budget on wheels. The places I go stuff is hard on them so I really spend as little as I can because they are going to get wear and tear.
Check out the dick cepeks DC1's i have a set on mine in polished aluminum put they just put out a set that is partially powder coated. I am kicking myself for not waiting they are slick!
Man just checked the DC1's and they are SICK!!! I really like the black powder coat and polished alum. look. You could always go with a cheaper set and have them coated.
Okay, I'm fairly set on some black Cragar Soft 8's 15x8 and should I stick with 4" backspacing? I really dont want the tires to stick really far out so I think I'll be happy with the 15x8 wheel and a 33x12.5x15" tire.
I think 3.5 back spacing is what is used on my BII and Explorer. Not sure on what you would need for you Ranger. What size tire do you have now? What size wheel's are those? They make a 33 10.50 and a 33 9.50 that may fit on the stock wheels. Then you could use the wheel $$$$$'s regear to get back the power and gas milage you are going to loose with 33's. I'm running 31 10.5's on my stock factory aluminum wheels on my Explorer.
Im not to keen on regearing. I can't imagine 33's robbing that much power, how much gas milage decrease are we talking about?
My stock wheels are 16x7 I think and I really dislike the selection along with the prices of tires for 16" wheels over the 15x8" that I'm looking at. Plus those soft 8's look a lot better than stock wheels.
