Good lookin truck man!! Another thing you wanna look at is all the wiring. Pop the hood and look at everything that is attached to the fram and body and see if there is enough slack to accomodate the lift with enough to spare for body flex. Take a good look and try and visualize what will go up with the body and what will stay with the frame and try and head off any clearance issues ahead of time.
Just a reminder, there is more involved than just lifting the body. Such as the radiator, fan shroud, steering column, and any other things that are attached to the body wiring, hoses for the tranny cooler. So don't forget to consider the effcts of the lift on those parts.
I knew you have to adjust the fan shroud (along with the radiator I suppose?) and the steering extension as well. However I haven't heard about any hoses needing to be extended from the transmission. Is it common to have to extend wires/hoses when doing a body lift?
I understand the concept that I'll have to watch to make sure there is enough slack, but my question is is that a matter of unhooking where the wires are fastened at or do I have to actually cut into the wires to extend them? Hope that made sense...
Could anyone tell me the difference between these kits besides the price? Summit really doesn't make it clear on similarities and differences as they all say they're fine for my truck.
Many times pic's on those web pages are not of the actuall kits. If they are in this case it seams the house brand kit has sturdier bumper brackets and the PA kit has more small items to address other stuff.
Contact the seller and see if they will provide you with a packing list and install instructions for both kits. PA may have them available on it's web site.
I put a PA on mine and it came with EVERYTHING i needed and it will also tell you EVERYTHING it will affect as far as wiring and safety cables and comes with EVERYTHING to eliminate those issues.

You mind giving me a link of which one? Good to hear this from a guy that has done it. Thanks for the input. Keep it coming guys, all the little things that slowed you down I'd like to know ahead of time.
Laugh it up but I got my Peformance Accessory kit from Auto zone! just under $400 for my 99 f-150. As far as hold ups it is hard to say we are talking about 2 completely different trucks. But probably all the little stuff as far as wiring safety cables and so on was the most time consuming oh and aligining my bed (I am very picky though). Also read the instructions they are very detailed and the person who wrote them knows what they were doing!
