FYI....I just tried to order a FM 40 and when it came in it was the DeltaFlow 40. They said Flowmaster was not producing the original 40 anymore and all I could get was the Delta.
I didn't think you could get the old style anymore, but I thought maybe you had a source. Is there that much difference in the sound? They advertise the same sound, just less resonance in the cab. I like my Delta Flow.
Well I will have to let you know how it sound this afternoon..... What a disappointment. I finally get the muffler in (they ordered 3 of them because they kept not showing up) and then I drop it off on my lunch break at the exhaust shop. I go back after work to pick her up and hear the results and he says "it would help if they gave you the correct muffler". So off I go to the shop where I got it from and they have had the one I needed in stock this whole time. So I dropped it off this morning and will probably pick it up on my lunch. Until then I am just getting all the more anxious by the minute.

WOW! You mean you actually gave you hard earned money to these morons!
It sounds awesome at idle and take off. I can't really tell about at higher speeds yet, although I think it sounds near stock or a little bit higher pitch. Hardly any cab noise, but might of lost a little low end grunt. I am taking a 500 mile trip this weekend so I will report more on MPG and power along with a sound clip if anybody wants one sometime next week.
