Where is the wire that I need to diconnect located on a '99 3.0 SC Ranger?

I'd like to do this at least before my rig melts down.

It plugs into the master cylinder. On one of the ends (not side). I would double check with someone who knows for sure, though.

Hi I am new here and I have decided to dive in head first.
I just was given a 99 Ranger 2X4 3.0 5 speed for Christmas.
I took my pickup to the dealer this morning because I was informed of a multi function switch recall and I was informed I have 3 recalls.
1. multi function
2. cruise control buttons
3. cruise control cable

Welcome to FTE.

Would be interesting to know the recall, or customer service numbers, on all three.

I suspect the multifunction switch is likely to be 00B40 & the cruise control cable is for cold country vehicles I believe, but I havent heard of one on the cruise control buttons.

it looks like my 99 Ranger has quite a few problems.

I finally got my recall postcard last week. I'm the original owner and this is the first recall I've received. Called the local dealer and they say the needed parts are all on backorder and NOBODY can get them. Suggested I call back in a couple of weeks. I haven't decided if it isn't a big deal or if the local dealer simply isn't concerned. Right now I'm going to start checking in this site to see if anyone else had the same thing happen when they called and if they're doing anything else while they wait for parts.
