Fuel Additive bottles?
The Stanadyne bottles are a great size but once you peel the original seal off the bottle cap to use them, they tend to leak if they get turned over.
I now pull the cardboard type liner out of the original bottle cap, use it to trace a new liner on the glass-filled teflon gasket material, cut a new liner with finger nail clippers (very precise using the clippers), and then insert the new liner in the cap. I have been testing the teflon material for over a month now and there is no degradation of the matrial. I will soon have more of these than I need (I can get a lot of cap liners from this pipe gasket).
I now use the 1 liter trangia bottles (2 of them) to carry my bio diesel (B99) to add w/ each fill up for extra lubricity and cleaning. I had asked Stanadyne whether or not I could add the Stanadyne directly to the B99 and store for several weeks, and no answer yet. They say on the bottle that it is only compatible w/ B20 (IIRC), but I hope they give me a positive response for the extra convenience.
Note - the Trangia bottles are great, just expensive. They are practically impossible to puncture (hard plastic walls), and have been leak free in my cab for a lot of months!!
This is a very good thread! Great input from everyone.
