I paid $600 for a 94 4x2 SB 300 5spd in good condition. 178k miles and no problem getting inspection sticker. Only bad rust was the rear wheel lip. I did brakes and replaced the serp belt. Besides the other items mentioned in the other posts check the oil pan and ps for leaks. I get 16-20 mpg and while the truck isn't real fast it will keep up with traffic if driven right. My son sold a Dodge 4x4 in similar condition to the truck your looking at for $500
