This is SO sweet, it's better than Miss July. I am drooling myself, awesome ! Congrats, Ken

It is pretty common with a SC to lower the naturally aspirated
compression, then raise up compression by running extra boost. You are
effectively increasing the displacement of your engine, increasing
power. Alternatively, for a given amount of boost, lowering
compression lets you burn the same total volume or air/fuel mix
at a lower pressure, allowing you to run lower octane fuel.
I dont know if this is allowed or not, but I have a 6.8 Vortech kit that came of a friends truck (lease turn-in)that for sale for a real good price if anybody is interested.
[updated:LAST EDITED ON 28-Aug-02 AT 01:10 AM (EST)]Russell,
He loved it and had no problems with it. As he says, it would still be on the truck if he was going to keep it.
I also installed a Whipple supercharger on my V-10 and I am also having a problem with the IAC circuit on warm starts. Steve in tech support at Whipple said his system could not be causing the problem. I disagree with him. I have replaced the IAC valve and no change occured. Did you get your problem fixed? I am also having a problem with the IAC valve causing a "howling" noise sometimes. Have you experieced that problem? Steve at Whipple says he has never heard of that problem.
thanks in advance for any info you throw back at me
I haven't gotten the problem fixed yet..however i found that if you keep your foot off the gas it goes away..
I keep a code scanner and diagnostic tool on the engine everytime i drive it...there seems to be a constant lean condition about 3500-4000rpms that causes the problem...
when the sensor gets triggered it richens everything up and causes the rough idle...
I' should be getting my reprogrammed chip any day now..i'll let youknow what happens
