Fuel Guage Issue

Fuel Guage Issue
My fuel guage does not work. It was like that when I got the truck. What are all the potential problems this could be? (fuel tank sending unit?) It has a behind-the-axle 38 gallon tank. This is a necessity for me, as I do not want to keep it completely filled up all the time. That's over $100 a fill-up

More than likely your sending unit. Mine is bad too. It is a pain trying to keep track of how much fuel I use. I write down my mileage each time I fill up and figure on 10 mpg. My tank is 19 gallons so not as costly to fill, but still hurts. Reckon I should fix it some day...
