has anybody ever put in a Diesel in a 78 f250? if so what kind and trany and all the info that makes it work.

I have seen many people put in cummins diesel in these trucks maybe someoene who has done it will talk to you about it

It all depends on what motor you are going for, it might be easiest to find a donor truck and start swapping parts. There will prly be alot of fab. work but it would be a fun truck, I recall seeing one in 4wheeler a 78 crew cab with a 7.3 turbo and a 5 speed
