I have a 97 Ford F350 7.3di auto trans 4.10 gears, I get a code P1211 intermittently, power and MPG are down all the time, it runs good no -new oil-new fuel filter-I've been driving conservatively to see if that will help. I do not know if I need a new IPR or ICP or if a CMP will help. I need help to fix this.<?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-comfficeffice" /><o></o>
check your icp connector. got much done to your rig? it would be nice to have some pid data but the code is a high pressure oil concern, unplug the sensor and see if it runs any better, if so replace it
Some an additional info on any mods that may have been done, also you say power and mileage are down, was it a quick decrease, or slow, when was it last running good, and have you done anything since that time. anything you can tell us will be usefull, even as much detail as a change in fuel station use.
I don't remember a sudden drop, so it must have been over some time. I only know of a K&N air filter, I think all else is stock. Then I had the computer connected I did unplug it as one of the test, and it ran a 700psi as it should, it did seem to run a bit better at idle when I did it. I have read an article that if you unplug the IPR and it still runs the IPR is sticking. Will someone tell me where to find the IPR; I've looked and cannot find it. Just an added note, the engine doses not smoke at all. When I bought the truck several months ago it was getting 17mpg, I'm down to 10-14mpg as low as 6 pulling a 35 ft 5th wheel.
