I do apoligize if this is a repeated question I just started to post agaign after my last truck was totaled. But thats another story. I was looking at getting the afe stage 2 intake. Have any of you had good results with this on or others? Thanks for all your help.
I'm currently running the AFE Stage II on my truck. Previously I had the homemade intake using the 6637 filter. Performance wise both intakes are the same. The AFE did make the engine noise and turbo whistle much quieter in the cab vs the completely open homemade setup. The AFE also looks nicer. Only reason I'm running it now is because I picked up one for a really cheap price.

I have it in my 02 F-350 as well
I am very happy with it!
When i was Trying to figure out this question myself i did alot of searches on lots of forums. no one has any evidence of one intake over another as far as putting freeing up more hp. However just about every forum thread i read one thing was common, More filter Area.
So i went and made me a DIY intake bought me a big Filter. Have never looked back.
I too run an aFe and am happy with it. There are other options out there for a lot less money that filter and flow as well. One thing that I've done is bought another pro guard filter so I don't have to rush cleaning it.
AFE stage 2 with progaurde 7 filter..a lot of road salt use up here in the winter..very fine nasty gray dust always flying in the air..black stone said silicon is 5..very good air filtering all winter long..
