True. The limits were placed there to keep it from becoming a popularity contest. Of course, people that use the system for that reason already have found a way around it and use it that way anyway.........

It wouldn't bother me in the least if the rep system just disappeared.

I"m jumpin in late and only reading first page.

We should just rep spam like a lot of people did on here (a few moderators as well!)(well, they might not have been moderators then) and we can all have 10+green beans.

I like the system, but it could surely go away with the abuse it has seen, or be reset tottally.

We're actually talking about two different things here. The red ones you got were for infractions posted by a moderator. They don't count against the little green ones on top, and they expire....provided you didn't get banned from the site.

The only way to get a red one on top is if you get a whole bunch of negative rep points early on in your posting career. Anybody that has more than one green bean will likely never see a red one up there. Whereas anybody can get a red one for an infraction from any post.

I knew that ,,,I was joking (hopefully not another infraction)

No ban either ,,but we have had some fun with it ,at my expense ....

BTW ,,one of the infractions will expire in 09 ,,the other in 10.. bit harsh for a first time "offender" both posted within minutes of each other ...as though I continued to be bad after a warning (not)

I also haven't noticed any good ones posted by a moderator for any of the good I have done ....

The god who swings the mightiest hammer is FTE KEN, If you are fortunate enough to impress him, he hits with a 75 point bean.
Beans to all, carry on with your good work.

Yep, I got one from Ken. That's when I learned that the big guns carried more points.
BTW: The rep you just gave me is worth 8-9 Green beans. Thanks Can't remember how many I had.

Question

Well I just reviewed my puntuation and discovered a RED bean in my list, but Im pretty sure it was a mistake because in the comments it says: "Thanks for that link" and also have one BLUE bean . I dont know if the moderator could fix that (the RED one)?

Craig,
The amount of greenies are in your user CP. It's the first thing I see when I go to mine, along with any New Subscribed Threads.
You might need to click on the expand arrows to see all the comments left by others.
I have the collapse arrows in the upper right hand corner because it's already been expanded.

You need to remember the amount you used to have. Yah Right!
It changes every time you get some Beans; Green , Blue Or Red. Sorry no preview of a Red one.
Green adds to the number, Blue stays the same and Red reduces the total.

My total is in the upper right hand side (285 point(s) total)

Here's a picture of my User CP
Hope this helps.
