There's a thread over in General Automotive that I posted a Youtube video of an S4 "playing" with a blown, chipped Lightning.
Put a couple of larger turbos and a chip on it and you are good for 500+ HP in a 3000 lb 4 wheel drive car.
A diesel truck might beat it out of the hole, but then forget it unless it was over 1000 HP.
My personal commuter car is a 1986 5000 turbo 5 speed stick shift kept stock and it still will easily do 130 all day long if I had the chance.
I know what you mean when I had my 1.8T Jetta, I wouldn't grab 5th gear till 110mph then It would pull right to 145mph ish. Damn red-line!
I sell Industrial valves to anyone who will buy them. Also do a lot w/ Stainless Steel fittings and hoses, which has come in very handy w/ some of my truck projects.

Great thread! Let's see...longhaul trucker for ten years (with my wife as co-driver) backhauling produce out of California and hauling meat from the midwest (Iowa and Minnesota, mostly). Then went to college when I was 32 for awhile and got some degrees. Last 21 years I have run the forestry department at Sierra College. Still teach, but just over the internet (here is my website) and only 60% of full-time load. We've been married 36 years, two kids - a boy 20 and a daughter 17 (yeah, it took me a long time to figure out how that procreation thing went ). Now I drive anything for anyone (tankers, reefers, hazmat, doubles, triples, lowboys) for fun in the summer.
Hey a guy I went to high school is a squadron commander in the space program at cheyenne mountain. His name is Jeff Ansted. Me, I think there is barely enough room here to list all the jobs I have done. Here is the short list. Joined the army right out of high school as a military police officer 3 yrs active duty then went to college and later became a police officer. Stayed active in the reserves for another 20 yrs,was a drill sgt., infantry, firearms instructor, hand guns and rifles, worked with the snipers teaching them how to hit small targets a long ways away,( this was mostly just shooting squirrels at 500 to 1000 yards but was a great way to practice.) Got out of law enforcement and worked on a chicken ranch for a couple of years of pure hell. Worked in an archery pro shop for several years and taught my now wife to shoot. she became a regional champion and record holder. Went back to school again and got my X-ray licenses and then back again for my radiation therapy license. Now I treat cancer patients on a Cyberknife system. Its a robotic treatment system that rivals surgical outcomes for some treatments and is often the only option for a lot of patients who are no longer surgical candidates and have no options left. So I have done a few things here and there. Just a knuckle dragger with a brain. I try not to drool and cuss at the patient too much but... well... some days.....Jeff

Right after grad school I was in retail management for a few years, but for the past 7 or 8 years I have worked as an analyst for companies contracted with by the federal and different state govenments to oversee Medicare / Medicaid programs and look for people / companies defrauding the systems. Hand potential suspects off to LEO's who take it from there.
