You guys think if I replace it with a TW or DP that it would stay cooler than with just the 10k. I would like to keep the power so if I need to upgrade then I'll do that, but going back to stock dosen't appeal to me.

I am with you on the power 10K vs. stock. I pulleed a load yesterday from NC coast to home, about 500 miles. It got hot at times especially uphill. My pyro reads post turbo for now and it stayed about 900* the whole way home, it would go to 950 up small hills but when I got to the BIG one east of Asheville I found myself downshifting to keep it cool and ended up at 45 mph in 3rd gear and it got dangerously close to 1000*. I am ordering my TW today and when I get it I will post the difference with chip vs. with 10K while pulling the same load. I am also going to movet the Thermocouple to the mani fold after I get those results to verify the temp differences.
i got the lovely superchip 1705, it works but aint nothin to right home about, i suppose its as good as anything else on stock injectors but the way i have my resistor installed you can still tell a big difference when you pull it out, if you can feel a power loss on a 7k truck then you are loseing at least 20 horses
ah got ya, i'm sure the tw's and dp's are much better but as everybody else said before you are looking at a max of 70-80 hp with stock sticks installed
