I have searched this sight till i am bug eyed-and the net-I have a set of hedman hedders that i thought would fit-nope they don't-I read to notch the frame-so i did-now they sit on the lower crossmember under engine-don't think I should cut that up! It is a 75 chasis with the inline 300 4x4 with 4spd standard. Am I up the creek or is the a 4wd hedder that i am missing=my truck is now apart!
Thanks!
has anyone put headers on the 4wd truck-and are there any pics of how?-lift the motor wont help cuz it is already a tight fit between the cab and bellhousing-i might try to mod the crossmember today then reinforce it again.
bought them used-buddy said he had them on a 76 highboy-also got the offy dual plane intake-hope it fits-but need the head on to try it! will the intake work with a stock exhaust manifold?
you may want to ask this question in the inline 6 cylinder forum. i have a '92 f150 with the 4.9L and can usually get the answers i need from the guys over there.
well-after many hours the headers and offy intake are on-only problem now is to find a bolt that will fir in the front hole of the intake-the hole is fulsh with the surface of the intake to the bolt goes in on an angle-stupid thing! oh and the lower bolt is a read pain to get in also-without them it is a vaccum leak but it runs!!! also use a edelbrock 500cfm carb-
its getting there!
