6.0 Trans Cooler Write Up?
Yes, I searched and looked @ guzzle site, and also 7point3.com. I didn't see a step by step. I'm mostly interested in what fittings I need to start sourcing. I'm getting the trans cooler from powerstrokeshop.com.
Can someone point me to a write up that i'm completely missing. Could be that I'm tired and that's why I'm not finding it.
Thanks

Goto Lowes or your local hardware store and pick up:
(2) 3/8 inch barb X 1/2 Fips barbed adapters
(2) 1/2 inch barb X 3/8 Mips barbed adapters
8 feet of 1/2 INCH tranny line (NOT HEATER HOSE!!!)
Put together the adapters using teflon tape or paste. The grill needs to be removed. Unbolt the AC condensor but do not remove. The bottom two bolts are the hardest to get to. I accessed mine by prying up my plastic front skirt and insering my socket with extension thru the gap between the crash bar. You may have to cut a small hole in the rubber isolator. I taped into the return line to the tranny, which is the line closest to the rear of the tranny.
Tips: Use vise grips or clamps to crimp the existing tranny line before you cut it to limit fluid loss.
Put a shop towel over the AC condensor because it will tear your forearms up if you don't.
Patience is needed, especially on the two bottom bolts.

When I did mine I pulled the plastic plugs holding the rubber skirting under the front end and the 2 bolts holding the cooler were right there easy to get at, the 2 that are on the sides in the middle were a little harder but if you do what Rampage above said with the extention it isn't to bad. A wobble adapter helps even more. I could slip my hand in between the bumper and the crash bar with a 1/4 in drive socket and break the bolt loose and then from outside with a extention remove the rest of the way.

Basically, existing line is 3/8" and new cooler is 1/2" hose, just joining the two?

Thats what your doing joining you 3/8 line to the 1/2. When I did mine I got the BTS kit which had a brass elbow with a 1/2 barb fitting on one side and a 3/8 on the other. Came out of the 6.0 cooler with about a 3inch piece of 1/2 hose to the 1/2 barb then off the other side with the 3/8 barb and 3/8 hose to the existing tranny steel lines.
