Well yes, you have to remove the one bolt on the fender and two hidden behind the rubber flap next to the radiator. Then pull forward on the headlight till it pops free.
Perhaps it's late and I'm loopy, but doesn't the actual bulb portion just fit into the back? Isn't there a simple (round) connection on the back of the headlamp housing that has to be turned to 'unlock' the bulb ... pulling it out the back?
There is a simple round connection on the back of the headlight that your turn to the left and the bulb will come right out, but the headlight assembly has to come out in order to twist it, unless you have extremely small hands to get behind there, but even then i think you still need to remove the headlight assembly.
