I changed mine in my 2013. 80 watt bulbs, and they are BRIGHT! I bought them here: 3157-80 80 Watt Cree 3157 Replacement Bulb

When the light is taken out(brake) there is about a 4in square piece of medal on the light,i think it is for the sensor,but can not get to the bulb,

Did you ever figure out how to do it? I bought the bulbs then, as you said, got a big surprise when I pulled off the tail lights. I can't find anything (owners manual included) that talks about how to change the bulbs.

LOL. Yeah, I did this too. Don't thing there is a bulb we can replace. It's one giant assembly for the LED. Think I found a reference in the manual that just said take it to the dealership for service. I put it all back together and gave my bumbs to a buddy with a '14 F-150.
