I am wanting to get a 2bbl CARB for my 1982 F-100 300 six. What do I need to change this over and is it a difficult task to do. I am going to put new exhaust manifold gaskets on my truck and thought this might be a good time. ALso what price can I expect to pay???

In the Technical Article section there is a fabrication of a 2 barrel adapter (I used an Offenhauser 4 barrel intake manifold) and fabrication of emision equipment (EGR and air injection).
one thing to keep in mind.. If you need to run EGR to pass emisions you need to get a Carb with an EGR port or you make it hard to tune your truck to run smooth. I am going to replace my 2 barrel holley with a 625 cfm 4 barrel carb (more flow and an EGR port).
Email me if you have any specific questions on this. I have spent almost two years working/reworking and researching this upgrade. I think I have it almost perfect. I have tons of low end power and I got 0%co and 15ppm last time I went through emisions (that was under load.. I got all zero's at idle).
I am getting more than that out of my stock set up. I get aroung 15 mpg. I figured that a two barrel would allow more air flow. Also I guess it depends on how much you put your foot into the accelerator. I do have dual pipes out the back.
