The new turbo arrived from Ron today UPS!! It was a nice find coming home from a very long day. I opened the box and I must say he does a very nice job. This rebuild looks brand new all over, which will last maybe a couple hundred miles lol. I really like the work he does on the pedestal, removing the entire EBPV assembly and plugging all the holes with threaded taps. From what I see right out of the box, I highly recommend. The price is right for sure!
Yes, it is the ebay guy. Ron's turbo service 1-801-842-9186, he is in West Jordan Utah. He is a nice guy and will answer any and all questions and set you up with what you want in your application.
While we are on this subject, did you guys lube the o-rings when you replaced the assembly, or leave them dry? I have read somewhere that die-electric grease is good to apply to the new o-rings during install? Any thoughts?
700.00 even with shipping and the core charge. If I decide to send him my old turbo it all will have cost 600.00 total.
BTW, I almost think it is worth keeping your original turbo as a spare to rebuild in the future should you need to. I dont think it is worth packing it, mailing it, all for 70.00 after you pay the freight charges.
