I have a 76 F250 hiboy with a 360 CID, the problem is when I get the RPM's above 1000 or so the brake pedal fall on it's own and will not come back up on it's own till I shut the truck down. I've looked for vacuum leaks and unable to find any. The vac booster and master cylinder are relatively new. Any thoughts?
BTW this is my first post here and this is an awsome site!
Check the booster check valve. It's the plastic part that plugs into the booster. You should still have brakes even if it fails if the rods are adjusted properly. It's a fail safe, will require more petal pressure.
Also. Since you have change the MS and Booster, did you adjust the rods to proper lengths? The booster to MS should be little to no play. Then the Petal to Booster is where you adjust your petal play.
