I`m thinking along the same lines as Bobby as I`m not much on drastic lowering. Probably because I`m just too old skool for that.....
Chrome grill is excellent but the big wheels aren`t my thing but hey, it`s your ride and you are the one that needs to be satisfied with the end result.
Have fun with it and keep us posted.
I respect all your opinions, but I'm not much for the stock Tow Mater look. I like them low and mean and ready to go. I really think lowering it gives the truck a much more aggresive look. As for raking it 2 or 3 degrees. That is definitely an option because I like that look too.
Now for the wheels. I'm not 100% on that yet but you can be assured it will not be 22 inch spinners or anything like that. No plans on "Pimping" a classic out.
When the day comes I stamp this project complete this will not be a "work truck" anymore. It will be driven alot but not abused or punished like it was built to be. For this reason I think I'm wanting to take the street approach for this classic.
I like it, So how did you go about lowering the front? Mono leaf or drop axle? I just finished the rear of mine with mono leaf and c notch. Check out my gallery for pics of the process If you like. I am running the big 17" wheels and the same grill. I have the original 60 hood as well.
