The answer is a definite maybe. If you romp on the supercharger (and why else would you get one?) then your fuel economy will definitely suffer. If you don't use it much then you'll not notice much difference.
Here's where it gets either complicated or interesting: if your engine currently loads up like when you're towing a heavy load with 3.08 gears, then a supercharger may actually help fuel economy in those circumstances. There are also economy differences with boost levels and blower types.
I would think that with all the support things that a Super Charged engine needs, lower compresion..cam...etc.. that "More Fuel" would be in order as compared to an Identical carborated engine.
Something has to sit on top of the supercharger and it generally has larger jets than stock. Isn`t the idea of the supercharger to Over preasurize the intake manifold AKA:Boost and more power.
But then if you only get 8-10 MPG Go for it .
Depends on if it's fuel injected or not the posters vehicle is injected. If it is bought as a bolt-on and is not one of those super-high boost models then mileage will not suffer. It's like the old 4bbl thing that you get better mileage......if you keep your foot out of it.
