ABS code on a 2000 F150. Code was C1096 Hydraulic pump motor open circuit. I asked the local Ford dealer about it and he said I needed a breakout box to test it. I went back to the old way and started looking for broken wires and bad sensors. I tested for voltage in the wires just before the pump motor and had voltage, I thought the motor must be bad but when I tried to unplug the short harness one of the wires came off of the motor and green corrosion came out of the wire. I took the airbox out to get to it easier and removed all traces of the wire in the motor. I tinned the wire that was left (in good shape) and re-soldered it to the motor. Started the truck and the light is gone. thought maybe this might help someone else before going to the Ford dealer to have it checked and fixed.
