speedo problems

i think the peices in mine were more in the normal range no wear on the gear teeth or on the pickup ring but i did have a verry small peice missing from the outside edge of the ring gear

Anyone have any idea where this one is on the trans? I can't find one. I rained my oil and pulled the VSS out of the rear last night. Even though the garage invoice says they replaced the VSS, this one hasn't been touched for a long time. I'm going to buy another. But what did they replace? It will cost me as much to go bitch at the garage (which is reputable) as to just replace this one on the rear). Thanks.
