I'm trying to compare dates, that's all. since I refer to the "official" Zoodad hole, I thought it's pretty clear that I'm not trying to claim any credit! The only reason I posted here at all was because countrycar who started this thread asked about my Zoodad experiments, and I noticed it and replied.

Gene, I don't know the exact date, but it was at least early '01, if not earlier. I've seen the original thread before, but can't find it now.

Nice job thinking of the same thing w/out reading about it first.

I would say a long time...maybe early 2000 or 2001

My post should have be a little clearer. The first person to post about it being done on a truck after doing it was named Zoodad. Probably why it is named what it is. Tends to happen that way. It definately started a trend.

Gotcha. I'll check that thread next. I too was away, kinda glad, as I missed that BTS post that was closed out. Not much to miss there.

Hey guys I'm home too. Glad to see yah made it home safe Tenn. Thanks Scott. I had a good time. Sorry bout the boneheads yah gotta put up with. Hope yah had a good weekend. Well I really hate to see 4wheel Parts Wholesalers reaping the benefits of a mod that they had nothing to do with. Would of been nice to see someome here build and market the Ram air/Zoodad mod. Country

If you made yours in November of '99, I believe your mod preceded Zoodad's by about a year, which I believe he "invented" in late 2000 or very early 2001. It was originally called Zoodadair. If you had been hanging around TDS back then, you could be famous right now.

But then what would we be calling it?

It could be called the "Gene-ius" (genius) mod.

How about the "Eugenics" mod--owner directed powerstroke evolution.

I crack myself up sometimes.

Gene it might have been as you say, but I don't think so. We would have helped you or the guys here because I wasn't a member back then, helped you through the developmental stages to perfect the "GENEIOUS MOD" as one of the of the other members put it. I for one wish yah had of done it Gene! Oh well. I still appreciate your perceptions, advice and your continued research on all the topics that come up. Even though I don't always understand your calc's and measurements and so forth.

Oh hey I almost forgot Gene. I saw that you lived in Mission TX. Well about 80 miles NW is a little ranch town called Zapata TX. This is where I hale from, Born and Bred. Just thought I let yah know. Take Care all..Country. Sorry for the High Jack Guys.

Just to clarify, the wife and I retired from the Wash DC area (Mc Lean, VA) in 1999, and became "official Texans" in Livingston, TX where our mail is delivered to the National Hq of our RV Club there, and we spent our first winter as fulltime RVers in Mission, and made one trip up to Zapata to fish. We've spent 3 winters in TX, 2 in FL, 2 in NV, 1 in CA, and we're headed west again for this winter.
