another bed question...sorry

hi guys,
im still looking around thru thge differant beds available.. so far i really liek what i see..whats scaring me away is the shipping costs.. yet they all see to be a distance away ..too far for a roadtrip... ive done a few internet searches..does anyone know if there are any of these bed manufacturers closer to MA? i got a shipping quote of $455.00 on one so far...that HURTS!!! any ideas?

Check to see if any major truck shows are coming up in your area where one of the vendors might be setting up a booth. Most times they will deliver the item to the show for you to pick up for free. You might also check into shipping via Greyhound bus but the vendor might not be close to a bus station. Greyhound is usually a cheaper way for large bulky items. Just some thoughts.

Shipping is always a killer. I have seen many good deals on eBay sell cheap because the sell is in the middle of Idaho, 200 miles from the closest big town. Did you try Chucks Trucks, http://chuckstrucksllc.com , in Hamden, CT? He sells Northern Classic boxes maybe he gets a deals on shipping and could give you a break. It's worth a try. He's probably 2-3 hours from you.
