hi there, for those of you who have turned up the injector pumps, what is the procedure? and most importantly, which direction do you turn that screw? I know where the window is to get in there and turn the screw, but have only watched it done once and he wasnt too sharing on his info lol...anyways, i am helping a student with his 90 f250 7.3 IDI. we just want to "tweak" it a lil...great mod info btw thanks
I bought a 1993 ford f250 7.3l idi turbo diesel about 2 years ago and have had troubles finding upgrades but these sound like very good, and cheap upgrades. It has loads of power, I gunned it and made the rear tire spin in on its self. The inner wall spun loose from the outer tread wall. The tires were 2 years old and the glue could have worn down but i say its cause of the power.

Turbo Taylor, Welcome to the Forum.
I don't suppose you took a picture of that stripped tire. It sounds like a picture worth framing.
thanks for the welcoming. I wish i had taken a few pictures of the tire, i would need to tear the tire up more though cause it was just a small tear but you could tell the tire wrinkled from the torque. Also it just never crossed my mind to take any pictures.
search the for sale ads Im selling a banks turbo with complete banks exhaust. Its on a 7.3 crewcab long bed dually, so the exhaust will work on all trucks just may need to be shortend.
I was looking to buy a new exhaust system and came across this Hypermax - Product Display . Anyone run a hypermax exhaust or ever heard of this brand exhaust company?
How 'bout air filters. We have sportfisherman boats. All are equipped with Cummins 5.9 diesels and one with Detroits.
We use two things on all including my 94 F-250 diesel.
We use K&N air filters, and Delo 400 15-40 oil. Why do we do this? Because we can't find anything better. The filters are cleanable. A kit comes with their soap and an oil that gets added afterwards. I've got the same air filter on going on three years, and it's like new
Try them people, you won't be dissapointed, and you won't be buying air filters any more.

Funny you should say that. When i bought my truck it came with one of those cleanable KN filters. I actually found them to be a pain in the ***. I found it took to long to actually clean the filter. Youve got to spray it with the cleaner and let it soak for awhile...then rinse the filter you and let it air dry compeltely...which seemed to take a few hours whenever i tried to do it...then youve got to apply the oil to it and let it soak in....and the instructions recommended doing a couple light coats of the oil...By time youve done all that the days over. Im glad you like your KN filter but ill never use one again. I now run wix filters on my truck and im extremelly happy with them. They seem to last longer than the KN filter did before needing to be replaced too
