I've seen lift kits for 2004 Ranger 4x4 but they run kinda high in price...is a leveling kit a good investment??? anyone have a leveling kit on their ranger post some photos...i'm trying to find one for a 04 Ranger...but so far no luck...advice appreciated Thanks
The only "leveling kit" available is in your garage. It's a socket wrench set. It will help you crank the torsion bars a few turns and it will lift the front 1.5-2".

That one is for you, Wendell.
Are there any negatives to lifting by cranking the torsion bars? Like alignment, ride smoothness, etc?
The ride firms up a bit. If you crank them, the reccomendation seems to be get an alignment just to be safe. Any excess wear? I don't know. I do know several who have done it and not had any problems in many miles....
Go to ebay, punch in ranger lift kits, there's a place called total performance that has a t-bar leveling kit for 80.00 bucks. It comes with 2 new indexed forged torsion bar keys. Waves has them and I just had mine installed, truck is now totally level with the factory rough ride ha ha.
even if you do put the inserts under the coils or just crank the torsion bars, should you get the shocks to match the new height? I am about to level my 97 ranger 4x4. i just put new stock shocks on! Thanks
