any suggestions guys...when it rains hard I have been getting a damp floormat...not a puddle by any means...it's not the windshield, but its as if it comes downon the wrong side of the firewall?!?!?! not a bad grommet or anything as the truck doesn't have to be moving...maybe the cowl box?
TIA guys
Check the firewall seam below the cowl cover. I had a leak under there and fixed it with some urethane windshield adhesive. The 20 years of flexing with clutch application finally just pulled a crack in the original sealant. The cab stays nice and dry now.
They also can leak at seam upper corner wind shield . I have had them leak there out side where you can see (The water has to run up hill) the paint post. But remove and check cowl for anything laying in there or loose seal sealer. Also if the seals on door are bad water will make its way inside and go behind the plastic part and wet floor. Good luck
Get a hose out and get wet look under dash and see if find leak

thanks, this seems like what I'm referring to...what do you mean? take off the cowl cover? and then what?
The seam should be right there once you take off the cowling between the windshield and the hood. Just at the bottom of that area, there's a joint between the cab metal and the firewall metal. It should make sense once you get the cowl off of there.
Just as an FYI. I have the factory cab lights and it turned out that one of the lenses was cracked. In a heavy rain, I could see water tracks on the passenger inside kick pannel and a puddle on the floor.
It took me a while with a hose to find the lens. With a steel headliner, the water ran to the side instead of dripping on me. Just something to check if you have cab lights.
Rule number 1, always avoid putting a hole in the roof, for anyreason.
Another place I think they can leak is around the bolts that hold hood hinges on the cowl or firewall.
Mine leaks on the front passenger firewall. I can actually see and feel the water when I get my head down under the dash/glove box area. Right up in the square opening where the heater blower is. It has to be coming down from up top around the window somewhere or the cowling.
TNT I have that same leak also. It runs down along the passenger side under the plasitc carpet threshold deal and into the rear cab corner, sure don't want it top start rusting. I vaccumed it up and am keeping an eye on it. When the weather clears I plan to remove the cowl cover, I will keep you informed what I find. I think its leaking around that plastic box with the fan that goes through the cowl. I had a similar problem with a grand am, and used a bunch of seam sealer on that, I hope its not a take out the A/C heater type of deal to fix it. I know its not the windsheild as I can see the sealer around it is dry.
Yeah really getting sick of how it seems no one can make a vehicle that doesn't leak. I just went out and looked, my right rear in the cab was full of water. And the area from the cowl was dry. So then its either the side window, rear window, or bed light. So I covered it with some plastic and vaccumed the water out. It looked like water comming from under the rear floor mat, but the truck is parked with the front up hill. Whats up?

Check the bed light. That thing is known to leak. With the truck parked uphill, the water will run off of the back of the roof and right into the light housing.

You should have bought my 92 F150..still dry inside. knock on wood.
First vehicle I had that didn't leak too.
There is a big hole in the firewall for the blower box and heater core hoses. The thing is sealed with rubber..could be a place to examine.
Easy way to find a leak is to run a garden hose over the truck sloooowly until you can spot water coming in. Start at the back and bottom, work forward then up and back.
