miles before gauge moves

Ok. This is the first Full fill up with my truck(fill til i can see it) and i was wondering what is normal before the gauge will drop off of Full.. So far i have almost 150 miles on it and it hasnt moved from FULL. not even when i park downhill. I'm hoping that i didnt' **** off the sending unit by filling it lol.

thats about right...i think on mine a little over 150 miles it starts to move..i have a 38 gal tank..little over 600 miles a full tank..

ok thanks. I was getting a little worried i was expecting it to move around the 100 mark.. I also have a 38 gal tank. Thanks again

Mine goes over 250 before it will edge down. It is also a 38.5 tank that I have forced 39.4 into without having run out. Highway driving I will manage almost 850 before I begin to get nervous.

150 is about right. 29 gallon tank here, and i'll go 150-170 before it starts to creep off the Full mark.

*lol* ..Mine does the same...but when it finally does start to move..it moves fast!!

Same with mine. I get 60 or 70 before it moves. Then slowly down, then drops FAST!

so what are you guys seeing at the first quarter? 135 - 155 for me, then maybe 270 at the half, normally fill before the 3/4 mark

you have a lb, so it would think it would be better. I am at ~325 at the half and at ~450 at 3/4 of a tank where I always fill up. i have never seen the light come on and don't plan to. Not even sure if it works.

remember though, my numbers are based on my 2wd sb w/ a 29 gallon tank.
